End-User License Agreement
Last updated: 10 September 2025.
This EULA is a legal agreement between you and Feel Free Games B.V. for Luma Island (“Game”).
1. License
We license, not sell, the Game to you. Subject to this EULA and the platform’s terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use one copy of the Game on a compatible device linked to your platform account.
2. Ownership
We and our licensors own all rights in the Game and its content. The Game is protected by copyright and other laws.
3. Permitted & prohibited uses
You may not: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble except where permitted by applicable law; (b) bypass security or technical protections; (c) use cheats, automation, or unauthorized third-party software; (d) rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute the Game; (e) use the Game for commercial arcade or pay-to-play purposes without our written permission.
You may capture, stream, and monetise gameplay videos for commercial content creation, provided you do not misrepresent affiliation or use the soundtrack/content outside normal gameplay.
4. Online features
The Game supports cloud saves and cross-play across supported platforms. These require an internet connection and a valid platform account (PSN, Xbox, or Steam). Platform subscriptions may be required by the platform holder. Availability may vary by region and may be suspended for maintenance or legal reasons.
5. Accounts & data
Platform accounts are provided by the platform holder and subject to their terms. We process limited data to operate online features as explained in our Privacy Policy below.
6. Updates
We may provide patches, updates, or changes that are required for continued use. Features may change over time.
7. In-game purchases
There are currently no in-game purchases. If added later, they will be subject to platform rules and any additional terms.
8. Health & safety
Follow the health and safety warnings provided by your platform (including photosensitive seizure warnings). Stop using the Game if you feel unwell.
9. Termination
This EULA ends if you materially breach it or if your platform account is banned or otherwise prevents access. Upon termination, you must stop using and delete the Game. Sections that by nature should survive (e.g., ownership, limitations, governing law) will survive.
10. Warranty disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Game is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind. This does not affect any statutory consumer rights you may have.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for claims under this EULA will not exceed the amount you paid for the Game (if any). Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or where otherwise not allowed by law.
12. Third-party services; platform terms
Your use of PSN, Xbox services, or Steam is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Sony Interactive Entertainment and Microsoft are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and may enforce it against you as it relates to their platforms.
13. Export & sanctions
You must comply with applicable export control and sanctions laws and may not use the Game where prohibited.
14. Governing law
This EULA and any dispute arising from it are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to your mandatory consumer protections and venue rights.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 September 2025.
Who we are: Feel Free Games B.V., Sassenheim, the Netherlands (“we”, “us”), makes Luma Island.
Contact: info [at] feelfreegames.com
Scope: This policy covers the console and PC versions of Luma Island and our support channels. Our website may have additional cookie details.
What we collect: We keep data to run the game and support players:
Platform identifiers (e.g., PSN Online ID, Xbox gamertag, SteamID), console/device model, region, language.
Online gameplay/service data needed for cloud saves and cross-play (e.g., entitlements, save-file metadata, cross-play linking tokens).
Telemetry & diagnostics: Crash logs, performance metrics, non-personal gameplay events and achievement states. On Steam we use anonymised Steamworks stats/achievements; equivalents are used on PlayStation and Xbox.
Support communications you send us (email contents and metadata).
We do not collect voice or text chat, and we do not collect payment data; those are handled by the platform holder.
Sources: Information comes from you, your platform (Sony, Microsoft, Valve), and our service providers (e.g., Microsoft PlayFab).
Why we use it:
To provide and operate the game including cloud saves, cross-play, updates, and security.
To fix bugs and improve the game (limited analytics/telemetry; legitimate interests).
To meet legal obligations and platform requirements.
Where consent is required by local law, the platform obtains it on our behalf.
Sharing: We share only as needed.
Platform holders (Sony Interactive Entertainment, Microsoft, Valve) to enable platform services.
Service providers/processors: Microsoft PlayFab (backend services, analytics), Unity (engine services), Audiokinetic/Wwise (audio middleware).
Authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal or telemetry/analytics data.
International transfers: Where data leaves the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent). Major providers maintain globally distributed infrastructure.
Retention: Cloud-save data and telemetry/crash logs: kept while the account is active on the platform.
Your rights: Depending on your region, you can request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction/objection from the platform.
Children: We rely on platform account age-gating (e.g., PSN/Xbox/Steam family controls). If we learn we hold data from a child without proper consent, we will delete it.
Security: We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No method is 100% secure.
Third-party policies: Your use of platform services is governed by Sony/Microsoft/Valve terms and privacy policies.
Changes: We’ll update this policy as needed and post the new date above.
